I am having a problem finding the shift cable for my rav 4 1998,sxa10-0064793
sxa10r-azmgk, 3s-fe, i have found them online on the US sights but not sure if they will fit since my rav 4 is left hand drive and not right. I also looked on a japan website found one but it says its for this model toyota TOYOTA - MR-S - ZZW30, the cable looks exactly the one for the rav 4 but am not sure. the reason why I chose there sight cause there vehicles are left hand drive and am pretty sure my vehicle had to come from the east. can any one help me dont want to go fabricate a cable to fit my rav they do not last long since they can never fit perfect.

I take it its a manual 5speed? There is a thread started in this forum on a DIY fix to a cable that is damaged.
I also came up with an easy fix too that I will be posting up about soon.

I am pretty sure the cable for left and right hand drive will be the same, the gear lever is in the same place, so is the gearbox, anyhow, look on amayama.com, they have very detailed listings for original Toyota parts, left and right hand drive, you don't have to buy from them, just compare part numbers, good luck.
