Over the last week, I started noticing that sometimes my 2015 RAV4 would develop this weird drag around 45-50 km/h. I would be driving, and around 50 km/h I would let go off the accelerator and my car would begin to slow down until 40 km/h as if brakes were being gently applied. After it slows to 40 km/h, it would continue to coast as normal. The behavior I expect is that once I let go off the accelerator, the car should continue to coast but instead what happens (once in awhile) is that I get this engine braking. The automatic transmission seems to upshift and downshift normally except in the case above and its very intermittent. I can't quite get it to work every single time. The car's milage is only 21k but its already a 3.5 year old car.

Anyone know what could be happening? I stumbled on this "AI-SHIFT" thing that apparently my car has so I'm wondering if its my transmission going bad or did this "AI-SHIFT" somehow learned a pattern of driving and is now applying it? Thanks.
