Hi all,

Question regarding my 2016 Rav: I thought the transmission and engine in the Rav were the same as those used in the Camry. But I think the Rav shifts a bit differently from the Camry (I think the Camry is a little smoother, IMO). Should I expect that to be the case? I assume the software is different between the two and there may be some difference attributable to the AWD system.

Thanks!

Most likely a different group did the shift profile trimming on the 13 RAV4 than the 12 I4 Camry. One of the differences between them is the RAV4 has a noisy exhaust which makes the shifts more noticeable. Both of them shift rather lumpily until warmed up, seems to be associated with a not so smooth throttle reduction during shifts.
