Have a situation when turning left that the turn signal doesn't cancel once the wheel is straightened back out (e.g. after completing the turn).

Tempted to try and fix this myself, but wanting to get a sense of how complex this job is.

Sound like - at the worst - you have to take the column cover off and then replace the switch. Can it really be that easy?

There is an airbag in the way, and also the clock spring needs to be removed before you can gain access to the turn signal switch. Does it cancel on right turns?

You will be handling an airbag. Do you feel confident and know what to do to disable the airbag?
