Have had a question since I picked up from dealer & pulled PDS to check everything had been done when brought home (Have not found time to pull from TIS full schematics).
If the 30A DC CUT fuse is left off from factory (mine spent 3-4wks on ship), then if I am not at home with electric to power a 1A trickler for 2-3wk or more non usage, would pulling this fuse significantly reduce current draw on 12V to not have to worry, as in airport parking lot, or ?
Guess I'm asking if anyone has looked at how many circuits are fed by this fuse.

According to these guidelines, disconnect the negative terminal of the 12 volt battery.
That would be my method of choice if 2mos or longer, I don't see issues with 2-3wk non usage, but certainly depends on how healthy the battery is at time zero. As the ICE only with battery in engine compartment is easy access, would not hesitate to pull neg terminal if > 3wks. It's the slightly larger pain with the hybrid access, especially if things are loaded, on top of two layers of flooring & side panel. (Also made worse in inclement weather).
My thought was, if it did not require a re-initalization of too much with removal of DC CUT fuse, the access would be 30 sec to reinstall after returning. Just not sure how much is taken off line, from what I understand the DCM would be a good candidate to disable short term. If it was a good solution to get out to say 6wks, then I would just make a fuse with a grab tab to make it easier.
Ulterior motive in back of mind was also, if for example, you are gone for a weekend trip and leave vehicle at train station parking lot, it would act as another layer of theft protection (assuming it does not disable the built in system on some models)
Guess I'll find out after I find the time to track it down via pulling schematics for my model/accessory complement. Not highest on priority list, that would go to grill guard, mouse screen, etc, etc.

Several times a year, I go on long (about a month) overseas trips. I have never disconnected the battery during those trips and the car has always started right up when I get home.
Thanks! Searched a bit, but did not find anyone testing a limit before issues. One month will cover 95% of my needs.
