As you guys know, I'm getting all the parts together for this summer installation. also, i've posted the name and the link of the company that is doing the ECU harness for the E-manage piggy back unit I'm installing. I've been have these conversation with www.autosportwiring.com regarding when harness can be made for an exact fit. The bottom line here is to know if the RAV4.1 Auto Transmission Harness will work on the 5 Speed RAV4.1

Angel, thanks for the link on your forum thread.

Also, I have a harness here that you should be able to use with either the auto or manual tranny ecu connectors. It has 4 connectors 26,16, 12, and 22. Same price as before. You would just choose either the 26, 16, and 12 connectors or the 26, 16, and 22 connectors and leave the remaining connector unattached. This will work unless you are dealing with a very tight compartment area around the ecu, as this will be about 26-30mm wider than just the 3 connector harness. This way, if you ever return the car to stock you could sell the harness to someone with either tranny.

Angel, I’m confused again. The manual drawing you sent over later last night, appeared to show the ecu connectors with 26, 16, and 22 positions. I did see the 12 position connector off to the side, but it did not appear to be labeled as one of the ecu connectors.

To be sure you may want to actually take a look at your connectors. I show the 26, 16, and 22 pins to be on a RAV4 with the auto trans, and the 26, 16, and 12 pins on the models with the manual trans.

If you do need the 26, 16, and 22 pin setup, I have those in stock and ready to ship without modification and it cost only $139.00 plus shipping.

You should be able to look at the backside of your connectors and count the positions on each and you shouldn’t need to disconnect them to do so. Count each cavity, some will have a wire present and some may be vacant.

If you are still unsure, then go ahead and send a pic of them and I will take a look at it.

I was looking at the Haynes Repair Manual and it says that [with picture] it has three connectors plugs, great. The difference that I see in the illustration that it has 26, 16, and 22 pins. I can send you a picture if you would like. Of course, you guys are the experts. The price is right, but I would like to know, just in case.

Hi Angel,

From the records I have, your ecu should have 3 connectors that plug into
it. They should have the following number of pins; 26, 16, and 12.

Is that correct for what you have?

If so, then I can modify an existing harness that I have in stock and sell
it to you for $159.00. (The wiring will be all white.) I'm unable to check
shipping charges because you did not include your address or at least a
postal zip code. The city you listed (bqtas) did not show up as a city in
Puerto Rico when I tried to do a zip code search. I can guess that if I send
this using the US Postal Service with a 4-7 day delivery it will cost around
$12.00. So the total should be $171.00 shipped.

Once the payment is received, please allow 1-2 days for me to modify a
harness and get it in the mail to you.

Thanks for the inquiry and I look forward to hearing back from you,
