Hi all,

Well I purchased my new RAV4 and got it last Thursday. What can I say but I love it! The more I drive it the more fun I have.

Anyways, the stock stereo sucks, or at least the speakers do... anyone know if ...

I change the speakers I void any part of the warranty, (beyond the factory speakers)...

OR

If I take it to Future shop to do the installation if I void any warranties...???

THANKS in advance!!

Andrew

Laws in Canada may be different.
In the US, the manufacturer can only void a warranty if the aftermarket item can be shown to be the proximate cause of the failure.

Obviously, they would not cover your speakers, but if the radio itself goes south, they could try to pin that on the speakers and deny it.

They could NOT (in the US) deny a claim for a transmission failure because you changed the speakers.
