So u can put in neutral with out the key. Press the button and u can move shifter out of park without

What does this missing button do?
I just bought a 2004 Rav4.
There is a button by the shifter that is missing. I googled and couldn't find an answer as to what this button does.
It's right above the "P" for Parking
