I currently have the OEM 18-in 5-spoke Super Chrome Finished Alloyed Sport Alloy Wheels and looking for any recommendation on products to use to keep my wheels looking protected and clean.

Thank you again!

You need to find something that is specific when it comes to protecting your wheels and cleaning them. Regular wax isn't going to hold up to the heat generated from brakes. And certain cleaners can and will strip your coating over time. Even if it is a ceramic coating. Using the wrong cleaners on wheels can damage them too.

The brushes necessary to clean wheels is going to vary too depending on the wheel. Pictures below are a sample of the brushes I use to clean wheels.

I agree with everything in the wheel care article except the wheels hitting 500 degrees on a typical passenger vehicle. After driving all day I can grab a spoke of my wheel with no problem. My wheels are painted gloss black and I use the same Hybrid Solutions wax on them I use on the car. Actually I wax my caliper covers as well with no problems over the past 2 years. Every tire rotation the wheels get a thorough cleaning including the barrels and the hybrid wax applied. Maybe a higher performance vehicle wheel would get that hot and wax not work but the brakes would have to be getting hammered pretty hard. I base this on me removing a frozen pizza from the oven set at 400 degrees so it’s pretty technical analysis on my part.
