Hi,

First post after being directed to this web site.

Looking for a new set of tyres for the wife's 2003 Rav4. We still have the original oem tyres on from new as the car has just clocked up about 50,000KM.

No off road whatsoever, just mainly city and highway driving to and from work.

Looking for a good safe tyre that handles well under breaking and wet conditions, also quiet and long wearing if possible.

Have been looking at Bridgestone Ecopia EP 850's 215x70x16 but am open to other alternatives.

Cheers,
John

I recommend the Toyo Open Country H/T. Currently on my second set of Toyos.

Quiet & comfortable compared to the OEM Bridgestone D683 (Quite loud & hard.). Braking was no longer a scary experience on wet roads when I got them for my third replacement set of tyres (I've got a pre-facelift base model, without ABS.). Very long lasting too.

Toyo Tires Australia - SUV/4x4 Tyres

Got the Toyos fitted by Tyrepower both in WA & VIC.

Thanks for your replies people, I finally ended up putting on the Bridgestone Ecopia EP 850. Got a very good price on them, and to be honest the wife can't tell the difference, so time will tell.

Cheers
John
