Hi All

here is the question - who makes Toyota OEM shocks and struts? So far google and other search engines have identified at least 4 different suspects: KYB, Bilstein, Sachs, Tokiko.

I strongly suspect that the maker varies by style of vehicle, and when the shocks/struts are supplied by Toyota...

Any insights? I am specifically looking at people here who are working or have worked for Toyota at some point in time...

EDIT - I have managed to find makings on my struts - They are KYB.

Very Interesting.

I have done some research and the OEM's in mine are KYB's. My friend has a LandCruiser 100 series and his OEM shocks are Sachs. You guys mention Tokico.

Based on all this, I suspect Toyota (being as large as they are) vary their OEM shocks supplier by region and application, based on best price they can get form the makers at the time they sign a deal.
