Didnt notice as much when had jeans or jacket on in winter but now w/ shorts its so annoying as wallet in 1 pocket and cell in other. If add this fob looks like I have bottle of coke in pocket lol. Cant leave fob in car as doors wont lock via remote if fob in car and cant leave fob at home as car wont drive unless fob in car.

My Acura Integra key is even bigger. I can’t drive with stuff in my pocket, so the wallet goes on the “shelf” on the left, the phone goes in front of the center console where the USB port is and the key goes in the cup holder. Just have to deal with it until we all get implants.

You should be able to disable your key fob by holding down the lock and unlock button until it starts to flash.
Then you can leave the key fob in your car. And unlock it using your app or lock it using your app.
That way you don't have to carry it when you're jogging, cycling or at the beach.
All other cars that I've had, have a seamless feature to disable the key fob.
I have been told from a few people that if you do that what I just mentioned you will lock yourself out and the application will not work.
Well. I tested it in the garage because I have two key fobs and the app does unlock the car with the key in it. But do a pretest before you start using that app for an unlock or lock feature. Just my two cents.

I'd recommend carrying the physical key part of the fob if someone were to do this anywhere far from home. Typically, things will be fine but having an issue that stops me from accessing the internet is not all that uncommon. Plus, the toyota app is hot garbage.
- you could lose your phone
- you could break your phone
- phone battery could die
- loss of cellular service
- app not working (I wouldn't rely it based on my experiences)

I use a carabineer and hook it to my belt loop BUT I also have a key-ring with some of those
key-chain frequent buyer cards on it and I slip the cards behind my belt so that the fob doesn't
hang down so much.
Also. I had a spare key made then broke the plastic off it and taped the key between the
phone and it's case along with that I have disabled fob hidden in the car.
So if I lose the fob, especially on a trip, I get the key out and go find the hidden fob.
I hope it never happens but it will save me $$$ and the aggravation of waiting for /
finding help.

my R4P FOB is so big i had to start seeing a therapist...
yes, HEAVY -i know, right?
i had to start using suspenders because my R4P FOB was so heavy my pants were down around my knees when it was in my pocket...
