As mentioned in the title, I've been thinking about both of these tires for the entire time I've had my '21 R4P XSE and now that I'm getting to 30k miles on my stock tires I'm ready to either sell em or just toss em (I mean they really can't be worth much).
I'll be getting them in 255/55/19, have read in multiple places that the 30" tire with 10" width works. I've even seen 30.5" but a narrower tire (see Lindenwood's posts).
My typical usage is 5-10 trips to snowy places in the western U.S. each year, and 5-10 camping trips also in the West each year (aka deserts, forest roads, etc.)
I know the CC2's have pretty much a cult following but it seems they aren't as good for off-road, but probably better efficiency for the typical highway driving in CA.
The Wildpeaks will [I'm pretty sure] have better off-road capabilities but reviews state their road noise and efficiency are not bad nor take much of a hit respectively.
Any strong opinions one way or the other? Last bit is the Wildpeaks probably look a little cooler, while the CC2s have that weird tire tread (obviously for wet/snowy roads). Although I haven't seen many photos of CC2s on Rav4s, so post them up if you could!
Thanks folks!
EDIT By the way I'm leaning to the Wildpeaks, I feel like they'll do just fine in the winter weather I'll experience, look cooler, and will perform better on dry off-roads (as the typical condition of our off-roads in the west).
