Howdy folks i have a chance to.buy a really good
set of P225 60r 16 GOOD YEAR ULTRA GRIP Winter tires they were used only.one season!
but now i have been looking around and not sure if they are gonna work on my 1998 Rav4?
If any one out there can confirm they will fit my rav4 with out any issues and if so
they will be mounted on plain winter black steel winter rims as for i do not have any stock rims for this rav4 it only came with the plain steel rims
Again its 1998 rav4
Thanks dudes yer help is appreciated greatly

My two cents...

215/70-16 are the stock ones.
235/60-16 was used by the spare so basically it can be used on any wheel.

Your tires are a little smaller. They will fit. May make your RAV look a little wimpy and throw the speedometer off but that is all you.. :D

My manual claims the 215/70R-16 as the stock size and the 235/60R-16 was an option that could be ordered.

The 215/70R-16 is 27.85 inches tall, 8.46 inches wide.

The 235/60R-16 is 27.10 inches tall, 9.25 inches wide.

The 225/60R-16 is 26.63 inches tall, 8.85 inches wide.

I have a 225/70R-16(28.4 inches) on black steel rims for my winter tires, they are a little wider and taller than stock, but I see both as an advantage in the snow.
My summer tires are on the stock aluminum wheels.
