2020 RAV4 Limited Hybrid (demo I got May 2021) keeps sending notification that passenger rear window is open ever since I got the car. Of course, I've checked it and it is not open. I asked dealer to fix when I brought in for routine service. Using Motorola Z4 phone, which is considered non-compatible by Toyota apparently. Their answer to me was that my phone wasn't compatible and they didn't have any indication that anything wasn't working on THEIR software.

That answer kind of annoyed me. The phone works fine for connection to Android Auto and it sends me door unlock messages, but the window message is a mistake? Don't understand that 'can't fix' answer. What, some gremlin annoys me with window open messages? Grrrr. Anyone else experience 'erroneous' messages? Any thoughts on fixes?

Could be an issue with the sensor that detects the window position. Of course if the dealer won't help... maybe try a different dealer if that's an option.

Yes, that's what I figured, but since their Toyota Connect says no issue, I'm the stupid one, apparently.

If you can, use a compatible phone to confirm.

I had this issue which really confused me at first. I did have a window slightly down. I closed it but the app still said it was not closed. I too thought it was a sensor but then I refresh the app manually and it cleared the open indication.
