Yeah those kits have been around for a while, I think they even have the APC version at Wal-Mart.

the receiver still needs to be wired so whats the point? are people so lazy that they cant be bother flicking a dash mounted switch?

I think the advantage of the REMOTE switch is that it does NOT need to be wired from the lights... through the firelwall... to the dash. You only need to hook-up the lights to a power source.

Jeff: and you didn't tell me?

Mohit: You can be so funny sometimes. The purpose of having it wireless is so that you don't need to be in the car when it's engaged. Compare it to the benefit of having your alarm help you remotely roll up your windows. You can easily do it from inside the car with the flick of a switch, but if you forget you can do it outside the cabin.
