Side Mirror Cover/Housing Replacement

Hey guys, my side mirror got sideswiped this morning.. (well, its my fault really) good news is, the only damage was the back cover went flying off and was ran over by a truck

The mirror has no damage and the mechanism is working. Where is the best place to just buy a side mirror cover/housing? I don't want to spend for the whole thing. :nerd

Maybe check Ebay or Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market.
With car-part.com, ask for pictures. The might want to sell you the whole mirror though. What colour is your RAV?

That will work if the OP has an LE as well. The LE has black plastic housing, the xle/limited are color matched. At least in Canada anyway.

I suppose your mirror cover is matched to the RAV, right?
You can also scour the website and look for any damaged RAV with the matching colour. Then ask for the price of the part/s you are looking for.

Yes it's just the plain black cover/housing i am looking for. Is there a place to buy just the housing/cover that snaps on. I don't need the whole mirror.

Don't know about that. Contact your Toyota Dealer and see if they sell it as a separate part. I doubt it. And it might cost more than $100!

You could try AliExpress but no sure if the Chinese RAV4 and North American RAV4 have the same specs.
It might also take 3-4 weeks to reach you.

If you've got time to waste, you could also take a walk to your local junk yard. I have found them pretty useless around my place for specific parts.
For generic parts, like body side mouldings (that you could steal from almost any car, as long as it fits) t, it is worth it.

I found one on parts.com... its Toyota Part #879150R050 costs 60$. Still searching for a cheaper one.
