My 2009 Toyota RAV4 Base rear door is stuck closed. The solenoid clicks when I press the key but when I pull the handle nothing happens. Any way to access an emergency open from the inside? Does the entire door latch have to be replaced?

If you read this thread it may help. You may need a new door lock actuator if you can't fix the problem.
You need to remove the panel from the inside. There are a total of 13 clips holding the panel. There are 5 at the top, 3 in the middle ( middle left edge and middle and middle right edge) and 5 at the bottom. The one in the middle is the hardest to remove. Start removing the panel from around the the window first. You will need something long to pop the clips such as a long crow bar for the big panel.
If you're referring to a 2009 RAV4 like the OP was 6 years ago the remote doesn't open the rear door, it only unlocks it which you can do w/o a remote.
