I have searched high and low for the answer to my question. I think I might be in the right place now. I have a 2019 Rav4 LE. In the manual it plainly states that you can roll down your windows with the remote, but it would need to be programmed by the dealer. From what I have read, it involves holding down the unlock button for 10 seconds, 15, etc. Have tried everything and nothing works. Called the dealership and they were not even aware of this. I am waiting for a reply back. Does anyone in here know of the proper sequence with the remote? Thanks for reading...

I have this option on my Fusion and by far its my favorite and most used option in the non-winter months. Walking to my car I roll all the windows down (dont have to hold the button). And when one forgets to roll em up I can run to the windows and hold lock after the second push and it closes everything up. I just dont see why manufacturers dont put this on ever car.
$1.34? As in less than a cup of coffee?

Bought my Rav 4 two days ago. Went to my dealer this morning and mentioned the same issue, and requested a fix. The service advisor at first tried doing it from the vehicle settings but was unsuccessful. He had never done this before so he took about 10 minutes to search for a fix on his computer. He said it was possible and needed about an hour to "reprogram" some settings. About 45 minutes later it was successfully completed at no charge.
There is no "reprogramming". It's an option. On or off.
Unless tech stream is supremely complex, it should take all of five minutes to change it. Maybe ten if you haven't found the setting for the first time yet. But at least they did it and it was free.

I had my dealer program it when it was in for service. I sent them a screenshot of the PDF Manual, showing where it mentions the feature and mentioned that "many people I've spoken to had it done before they took delivery of the car". Dealership did it at no charge, but then again, they probably had it hooked up to the computer already when working on my transfer case problem.
Interestingly you can auto roll down or up the windows with the key (if you have a key), but with the remote you can only roll down.
Was reading somewhere this is only in North America due to our litigious nature. Elsewhere you can down and up on remote.

I asked for it as part of delivery. My dealer service dept didnt know how to do it. Once he figured it out the sales guy told me he was miffed and that he said this is a chargeable service. Glad I asked for it as part of delivery. Just wish there was an UP incorporated with it as well. But as saod above thats the litigious nature of our current society, blame others for our stupidity.

Not mine. It’s press for a few secs and down come the windows. I worry about the same thing. Would prefer the press release then hold press.
Took a while to explain this at my dealer and for free despite it being included in the first service as “personalization”. All worked at in the end and was done at first service.

The Rav/4 is not a very smart car. Dealers have a hard time finding people that know anything about plugging a computer in and making changes in the program. Memory only remembers two seat settings for one seat, no hvac
settings no mirror settings. If your grand kids turn heated seat when you take them and don't turn them off Grandpa
has to walk around open all doors to turn them off. If you have a hatch with foot opener and you put a hitch on you just lost your auto lift censer as it's located in center of vehicle, installer will not move it liability issue.
No under hood pad on gas only model sounds like pistons are changing cylinders on cold start up. Speed limit
in my state is 75 MPH ( 80/81) you have to turn radio up motor & road noise.
A lot of owners aren't very smart either, those that buy a vehicle without doing any research and thorough road test, then bitch about everything they don't like about it and don't bother to read the owner's manua! to learn what they don't understand.

I thought my 2019 had a defective seat lever but it was a user issue. I did not pull the lever hard enough. Thus far, I have observed zero issue. What about you? Any defects from the factory?

I have the standard audio head unit (on 19 Hybrid LE), enabled the window feature in two minutes with Carista. Also enabled Warn on Lock with door open. It’s not hard to do, the dealers are so sloppy they can’t be bothered to do a proper setup unless you paid full sticker. Another favourite around here is for them to not bother putting in the frame rail rubber plugs (my wife’s were in the glove box for her ‘15 after they “prepped” the car), which will lead to road salt getting into the body and lead to corrosion. Toyota Canada corporate didn’t care either and directed me back to the incompetent dealer. Perhaps I should have written a letter to the head office in Japan instead. In our case it was okay because it was summer during delivery and we found it right away, but I guess it doesn’t help the dealers sell undercoating when people figure out the car is perfectly fine for corrosion as long as it’s prepped right and washed regularly.

When I was on my way to pick up my car I texted my sales representative and told her I wanted the windows programmed. When I got there the techs thought they did it wrong because they didn't see a way for the windows to go back up. They're a high volume dealership so it's surprising that no one's requested it done there before.
