Has anyone found a Sun Cover for the Navigation Screen?. At certain angles the Sun fades the screen out almost completely.

I plan to make my own and here is a suggestion that I will try:

At the craft stores and on the net they sell thin colored foam sheets. I would use black). I was going to buy a black one and cut a strip about 1 or 2" wide. Then I would use thin velcro strips, I'd cut the 1" wide strip in half length wise, to make something about 1/2 or even narrower strips about 1" long. then bond the strips to the edge of the foam pad and the other part of the velcro to the edge of the display. I think with a little experimentation as to the width of the foam that works best for you might be necessary.

On my Rav it doesn't have nav and I am glad because I can't see the screen if the sun is out. I seem to get a reflection off my clothes in the screen from sun shining on my clothes. Not sure if a sun screen will provide relief from that. I tried to block sun from the screen but it didn't work. I use a 7 inch Garmin in the center storage area, fits perfect and no issues seeing the screen. Also you can change information even when car is moving.

its a sticker base, mine hasn't fallen off (yet). just practice clean surface before adding the sun shade.
mine hasn't warped from the heat, i live in cali ... and it hasn't been that hot yet.
I cleaned the area very well before putting it on. Applied plenty of force and kept it in the shade [garaged] for a few days to go hard. So far so good. It provides plenty of shade for the screen and looks a lot better than the screen jutting up out of the dash.

Aliexpress Visor - Too Large

Aliexpress Visor Top - Amazon Visor Bottom

The anxiously awaited sun visor from Aliexpress came in today and was a big disappointment. It is easily 2" too long for my standard head unit (I don't have navigation or the larger screen). Maybe this fits on some RAV4's with a different size head unit, but not on mine with the standard one. It is too bad because I prefer this design and the visor part extended more than the one I had purchased on Amazon.

I have contacted the seller to return the item and get a refund. Maybe they sent the wrong one, I don't know. We'll see what they have to say. For now I will reinstall the smaller Amazon one until a better option comes along.

I sent a message to the seller of this product advertised on AliExpress to fit the RAV4. Do not buy this visor. I have sent the one received back and am awaiting to see if I will get a refund.

I asked the seller if they had possibly sent the wrong product. The seller sent back two responses that I have included below.

"Hi friend, this product is suitable for this version of navigation. if you do not mind. I suggest that you can cut off the excess cover. This will not affect its function."
"so sorry. we only this style for RAV4. If this product is too long, I suggest that you can cut off the excess. If you can modify it to make it function. We give you other compensation."
