The dealer said press the lock button on the remote 3 times (2 short, one long) to remote start the car. Doesn't work for me. Is there a keyfob option to start the car? I do have remote start on my Android phone.

I have been taking to Toyota support about fixing my missing triple press key FOB Remote Start feature on my R4Prime. Unless it would Remote Start the ICE (nothing else does not the R4Prime), the A/C button on the remote performs the same fuction. Toyota support now say that that feature is not (never was?) available on Rav4 Prime or Prius Prime.

well that really makes, so the "Start' on the app for Prime would start AC instead of ICE, right? but when i press it, it says my vehicle not equipped with feature. So where is the remote start AC bitton in the app?
EDIT: misread the question, corrections

The Remote Climate feature in the app is available for the XSE, not the SE. Which vehicle do you have?

Nothing can remote start ICE-on for 2021 Rav4 Prime. Triple press FOB was just the last way I wanted to test, but now Toyota has taken that function away (officially) from all the Primes.

i have a XSE Premium package, charging it at 120V for the very 1st time, very excited 😆
You should be able to just tap the big 'Start' button on the 'Remote Services' card in the app. If you press and hold that button rather than just tap it, you will get a "Your vehicle is not equipped with this feature" message (at least on an android phone).

If that still doesn't work, than you may need to insure that the app is updated.

I understand why Toyota doesn't allow the ICE to start when preconditioning via the fob or the app (not that I agree with it). But why oh why would they not have an option to have the heated seat and steering wheel come on during preconditioning? It's bad enough that the interior of the car won't be warm, but there's no good reason that your butt and hands can't at least be warm when you get in.

On an iPhone you can tap or long press. Either way activates the "Remote Services" screen where you can choose the options you want for heating or cooling the car.
