Phone holder

for LE/XLE/SE there is a problem finding a good phone holder.

Did anyone try just putting velcro behind the 7-8" console, attaching a long bar to it that sticks out a little to the left of the console, and gluing a magnet to it that then the phone would connect to?

What is the best phone holder for 2021 RAV4?

I’m trying to figure out what kind of phone holder to get for my 2021 RAV4 XLE premium and where the best location is to put it. There is limited space since the stereo sticks up so far

I'm curious, for what purpose do you need to mount your phone? Both Android and iPhone can project onto the infotainment screen (via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay). Most music, podcast, and navigation apps would be directly accessible from there.

This assumes you are not an Uber/Lyft driver, though. I'm not sure those work with AA/CarPlay.

That's unfortunate.

This is what I've used in the past. It adheres to the dashboard or another flat surface, then uses a mechanical suction cup to lock it in place. I used this for years with my 2014 Honda Civic which had no AA/CarPlay capabilities. The only downside is around year four, during extreme heat days the suction cub would lose grip and fall. But, it was easy to put it right back in place.

Howdy :)

I too wanted a good solid robust mount for my phone too. I searched all over the web and even purchased cheap plastic ones to try in the Rav4.

I got the following for my 2021 Rav4 - initially for the phone (Samsung Galaxy s9+ with case) but then for my trusty GPS (i hate the built-in GPS/Maps on the RAV4 lol). The Holder and the Mount are made by a company called ClicOn and are available here in OZ and the USA from the following resellers:

OZ
Holder around $70.00 AUD - > Holders Adjustable SmartPhone Holders Non Charging Holders (holdmyphone.com.au)
Mount around $50.00 AUD - > Angled Mount - ClicOn (holdmyphone.com.au)

Just ensure you measure your phone (with case if its on) for the holder part. I decided for the dash mount but you can also get an A-pillar mount too if that's your thing :)

The mount is sturdy and the holder I got was fully adjustable for both the phone and the GPS. Good solid setup all round for my purposes :)
