I recently purchased a 2017 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid from the dealership in March of 2022. It is currently displaying "AWD System Malfunction 2WD Mode Engaged" , "Pre-collison system malfunction visit your dealership" when I start the vehicle and put it into Drive, but the vehicle will not actually drive and tells me to put it back into Park. I'm currently unemployed and really hoping that there is a simple fix that I can do myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance from one very confused car owner.

I'm sorry you are having troubles especially during a period of unemployment.
I own a 5th gen gasoline, not hybrid, but there is a fairly wide range or sensors, fuses, hybrid battery system, and relays as well as mechanical components that can cause this to happen to a RAV4.
If money is tight:
First: Was it a Certified Used Toyota? Often they come with a decent Toyota Corp backed warranty (not a dealership warranty). This may be covered by that, towing cost included. You're also in your first year of ownership, did the dealer offer you a 1 year warranty if it wasn't Certified Pre-owned.
Second: If not, you'll need a code reader that plugs into the DLC3 (OBD2) port in your foot well area. Maybe a neighbor or friend has one they can loan you, or if you call your local AutoZone etc and explain your situation to a manager they may loan your their store reader. (Probably not but some people are cool and will help out a person who's fallen on hard times ).
If not you can find decent cheap ones on Amazon for under 20 dollars .
You may be able to use the information from this tool to determine if it is something you can fix : IE blown fuse/relay, or something you may not be able to such as the hybrid battery system or mechanical failure.
Good luck to you , we have a lot of knowledgeable people on this forum and others will hopefully have better solutions than me!
