His model is the XLE Hybrid. The seats are different between the trims. I'm not sure his insights from 6 people where some didn't like the seats on a long trip means the seats are bad. I've taken my XSE on 2 hour trips and had no issues with the seats.
Just finished a Wilmington to Asheville NC in a 2020 RAV4 hybrid XLE. My wife complained the whole return trip how uncomfortable the front passenger seat is. That’s about an 8 hr RT experience.

At this point, to have a happy life and a happy wife, one choice is to take the passenger seat to a "automotive only" upholstery shop and see if they can custom improve the materials for her including lumbar support, part of the problem is that you cannot adjust the passenger seat height ....that was one of the options other than just buy a Limited Rav4 ....

I have today off and decided to test 2 used RAV4 hybrids. (XSE and Limited).

Here's my opinion.

XSE seats has a somewhat aggressive booster and wasn't that comfortable.

Limited seats were the most comfortable given the extra cushion feeling. Booster were not too extreme.
The 23 RAV4 Limited seats are no longer as comfortable. My wife also complains. As for me, I'm accustomed to it, and it doesn't bother me on long drives as long as there is a stopover.

I sat on the Limited and it felt to have more foam than the XSE. Why not comfortable, please share since it's helpful?

Yeah, I agree...Complaining women can get to be annoying. On your stopover I'd recommend a shot of booze. Earplugs also will help.
Impatient as well. Earplugs is very very helpful or just increase the audio volume sounding Linkin Park's In the End or Numb. 😀

It's my wife, keeps on complaining that cushion is not soft. I have to buy her maybe seat padding. At first I feel it's different but in the long run I got used to it.

I like the seats. Spent many, many hours in one overseas before buying my own. The only issue that I have - and this is true of every car that I've owned or tried - is that the lumbar support is too narrow. I was rearended a number of years ago, so my lower back hurts in any seat after a while. It always takes a lumbar pillow to make it comfortable. I posted this elsewhere, but this one matches the look of the black Softex seats very well:

It's also firm when cold, but softens up quickly.

Yes, that's a necessity in your case. I would do the same if I were in a similar condition. I would buy that for my wife she has back aches sometimes due to slipped disc.

I have a limited and the seats are trash. I had a 2015 Nissan Murano and man I dream about those seats. Nissan might have terrible transmissions and every single model might be due for an overhaul but damn do they get interior and seats right.

I go on long road trips 5+ hours and in the Murano, felt 100% fine. RAV4 long term comfort is not good. Seat cushions are thin. Vented seats work better tho.
Best seats ever for me was a 1987 dodge Omni. Too bad everything else was not so nice😆

Alex on Autos says his group of testers all found the seats uncomfortable for drives longer than an hour. Seems to confirm what many here say.

But interestingly doesn't have a fuel fill problem.

Their long term tester has 6200 miles

We tried a Honda CRV at the same time we were looking at the Rav4, and the CRV seats were far less comfortable than the Rav4's (we ended up getting a hybrid XLE). My wife is quite sensitive to seats, and we have been on a couple of day-long trips in the Rav4 and she has no complaints at all.
