Hi all,
I've been rebuilding a 3S-FE that I did not pull apart.
I am giving it a complete rebuild but I can't seem to find any info on crank and bigend tensions.
Also the head was given a complete rebuild and I now have it back from the shop and need to find some info on where the cams actually line up, I already have found a pic on the setup of the timing belt.
Any info will be much appreciated, regards Pete.
P.S. Have experience doing this sort of thing, only didn't pull this one down and other twin cams have had two cam gears for the belt, these are quite different with there setup of only one.

The intake cam knock pin (dowel pin that locates the t-belt pulley) should be at 10-45' deg BTDC (top dead center of the knock pin would be at 12 o clock just for reference use 10-45'deg BTDC) then use timing marks shown in pic

oil treads and under the nuts of the connection rod cap
Connecting rod torque is 25 N.m (18ft.lbf) + 90'deg turn

Wow -- rebuilding an engine without already having (and reading in advance) the service manual. Not recommended! But good luck with the project.

Somewhere is one of my threads, from a couple of years ago, about pulling the head to do the valve stem seals -- you might find it interesting.
