Sorry for another question for you guys that are in the know. My new to me 2007 V6 has what I think is the original oil line with the rubber piece, there is no yellow mark on the line and from what I've read that means it's the original line, 160,000kms. I was hoping to pick up a Dorman replacement line part# 917-023. I've called around every parts place that I can think of and nobody can find the Dorman part in Canada. I've also tried a few parts places in the US, Rock Auto, Amazon, O'reilleys and nobody has any stock. The replacement Toyota part is around $160.00 according to one parts guy I spoke to. So my question is: Does it fail often? Or is one of those the sky is falling you better replace it asap things? Would replacing just the rubber part be a good solution at least until I can locate the Dorman part? Not sure what diameter of hose and clamps I'll need though.
