BGood1 - I have had so much frustration with my 2019 rav4 hybrid xse not having android auto that I put this topic to bed. However, on a limb last weekend, I googled android auto retrofit kits for 2019 rav4 hybrids and stumbled across a redditt forum where the users were discussing the the ottocast device as tricking the head unit into running apple carplay when it was in fact android auto. I could not believe a cheap solution existed that wouldn't void warranties with doing work to the head unit or messing up some of the electronics etc. Any ways, I also bought one ottocast x-2 pro (see link below) and plugged it in today and it worked right away! I had to reboot my phone a couple of times and turned off and on Bluetooth, but then it connected right away on the head unit. I have pictures of what it looks like and the device. I will also post another update as I gain experience with the device. According to you, seems like it may not auto connect all the time which is lame, but I believe I have a newer version of your device so I'm hopeful they did improve something lol. Any ways, I just wanted to reinforce the Ottocast option ($120) to everyone out there that wanted android auto, but did not want to touch their head unit.
