Had my front windows tinted today and asked the shop to measure the % on the rear factory glass. Its 27%
Paid $170 CND for both front windows and sun shade above windshield
product installed was XPEL tint

Curious what others have paid.

This is interesting info - on my wife's Highlander, I just said "match the backs please". I'm not sure what % ceramic he ended up using, but it does match, and it can sometimes be almost too dark for us. I have been debating whether to do the same again with the RAV or to just ask specifically for 30%... seems like it could be 'close enough' of a match...

Check out my silver/black XSE here, I have a before and after shot of my tint job, at 20% all around. Post #36 -

Going to have the front windows tinted next week, but now unsure of % tint. They say the 15% ceramic 3M tint matches the rest of the RAV4 windows. After looking at other posted tints, now I’m not so sure. My state is 35%, but has never been enforced. Now I’m wondering if I should go 35% ceramic 3M tint…..decisions, decisions….
Any input from those who regret going one way or another?
TIA

Also, FYI, if your goal is heat reduction, you need to get a ceramic tint on your windshield. The windshield is the biggest window and is at an angle so it lets in the most sunlight and heat. They make 80% and 70% ceramic tints that are basically clear. I first had my sides tinted and didn't notice much of a heat reduction, but once I got the windshield tinted, it was a world of difference.

Had my fronts done in Xpel Prime XR at 20% today. After talking with the shop owner, we measured out the VLT on the stock privacy glass with a meter and confirmed it's in the upper 20's to near 30. Could have gone either 20 or 30% tint to achieve a 'match', but glad I did the former. I may end up going back at some point to do the rest for the heat reduction benefits.

Super pleased with how it turned out!

Bad news, sad news for me. The price increased because the product more than doubled in price. Yes, I got to see his price because I’ve known him for over 20 yrs. And no I am not posting here what he pays per 3M roll. So the price went from $99 to $149. So instead of $89 as I mentioned, it was $135 for front windows using 3M ceramic IR 15. Pictures can be deceiving because of the light and angle. So I don’t have pics today (rainy), but will try hopefully Sat. You can tell front is darker depending on angle and light. I hope to tint the other windows, but for now it’s not a priority.

For those interested in what I used, here is the tint

Bummer, but you still got a better price than most!

So to confirm you had all windows in the vehicle (minus windscreen) done at 35%? That is what I was thinking but was worried the back hatch window would be to dark. I am tinting to get the heat benefit as the hybrid AC is kinda wimpy.

The above looks good to me and appears to let decent light through.
