I have had issues with my system since purchase. In October it started rebooting on it's own and in November it started going to a blank screen even though you could hear everything. When I took it in, they said it needed a new radio in November. I waited two months for it to come in and today was told it just needed a software update and reboot. I came back to get it and the navigation button still didn't work and the buttons on the steering wheel would not control the radio. I left it there and was told they replaced the radio, but the navigation doesn't work because my vehicle isn't equipped with it. UMMM. How was I able to use it for two months then? Does anyone have a 23 RAV XLE Premium and does this sound right? How can I prove I had navigation other than the trial to the drive connect and showing two addresses in the trips on my app? I am at a loss knowing that Toyota knows about this and the consumer is basically out of luck

The 2023+ RAV4 head units are linked to the vehicle VIN. I might be off here, but I wonder if the dealership phoned Toyota HQ and updated your VIN to the new Headunit Serial number.

Go into your software update settings and tap the more info/details. There will be a bunch of numbers there but see if the VIN listed on the stereo screen matches your actual vehicle VIN. You might have to scroll down a bit.

You'll know you're in the right spot because the background of the text will be bright blue.

If the dealership didn't do that step, connected services won't work right.

As for the steering wheel controls, it almost sounds like they didn't plug everything back in right, or perhaps damaged the harness behind the dash.
