After market (Mekede Dudu7) installed 2 months ago on my 2022 RAV4 hybrid. Now I finished installed and finished calibration (for the most part) for the 360 camera.

Didn't really see anyone has done it or at least posted on the forum. Not a lot of shops do this either as it takes a lot of labor time. Parts are relatively cheap, so I decided to test it myself. Couldn't be happier with the result.

Just want to show it is possible to do this yourself. I spent about 1 month worth of weekends figuring out how to do this. Most of the time was spent on planning. 4 cameras have to be added on each side. In term of difficulties, I would say side camera ->back camera->front camera from hard to easy difficulties.

I got lucky not have to tap into any signal wires, headunit came with a canbus decoder box, this saved me a ton of time during the install.

Total cost: Somewhere between $800-$1000.
Time: Too much :p

Vendor listing: Exciting Updates and Purchasing Options for DUDUAUTO Family Members - DUDUAUTO

Good videos references for installing this yourself:
  1. Rav4 Side Mirror Camera Install
  2. Side Mirror Disassembly
  3. 360 camera calibration
  4. The holy bible of disassembly
  5. DUDU7 Wiki Page
Note: You can get it cheaper from different sellers, but do you own research now that US buyers have to consider tariff and shipping time.

Ask away if you got questions! I took tons of photos during install, hope I can find ones that can help any diyers in the future

Probably the most stressful thing for me driving is when I am at a stop sign and the cross traffic does not stop. Often, because of parked vehicles, I can’t see far enough to know if there is traffic approaching. So I have to creep forward slowly and by the time I can see down the road far enough the front of my car is in the cross traffic lane. Every time this happens I think that it would be nice to have cameras on the front to help me see.

Do these cameras see left and right far enough to see approaching traffic? Thanks

I can't speak for the system OP has, but the OEM 360 camera does allow me to see front "blindspots" in intersections or pulling out of parking spots. It's a wide angle fish eye.

And it lets you see traffic approaching reasonably clearly?
It's great in parking lots and low speed areas, but I wouldn't trust it pulling into traffic in higher speed areas just on it's own, the OEM system seems to be about ~30fps on a 10.5 inch screen.

You mean side cameras? They are ok as blindspot cameras, could be better, right now, there's a software limitation where I can only see sides at a not so good angle

I have the Dudu 7 like you but using the OEM 360 cameras and function. Did not feel the need to chsnge the cameras as the stock ones are well suitable for my needs.
I am astounded that Toyota has not yet (well, had not by May 2024) made a deal with a dashcam company to put a dashcam (option?) in their cars. Toyota's stereo system for my old 2016 pretty much stunk for a vehicle that sold for $25k at the time. But at least I had the option (foolishly did not take it) to get the JBL system. The cameras on my 2024 RAV4 are fantastic - but no dashcam. Wasn't even an option when I purchased as the Toyota dashcam system (panned by most users here) would not yet work on the 2024.

If there is a Toyota system that will integrate with the 2024 RAV4 Limited Hybrid I might be interested.
