Junebug - I had the same issue with the cutouts in my 09 when I installed the buttons in the center console near the cig lighter. They are not interchangeable.

I just got the BTC480 yesterday. (I also ordered the noise isolator.) It was super easy to hook up and so far it is amazing!! Thank you so much for this information. It just saved me a ton of money and time installing a new stereo! Thanks so much!!
