Alpine spr 60c in 2015 doors

Hi all, just picked up a new Rav and discovered this forum. Lots of good reading and a wealth of knowledge on here. Hopefully folks can help me with a couple of questions.

Wanting to install an alpine pdx v9 amp, spr 60c in front doors, spr 60 in rear doors, and 10 inch spr sub in back. Tech guy at Crutchfield says speakers are too tall and won't fit properly with door pad. When I enter my vehicle as a 2014 and apply the filters on their website only a couple of options come up, alpine not among them. Yet I've read that a couple of members here are running them with no issues. I'm more inclined to believe what I've read on this site, yet the tech agent was pretty adamant that I'd likely be returning them.

While I know their word is not gospel and others have had issues with their tech support, I have had excellent advice and service from them in the past.

As a side note, I know that for 2015 they changed the crash beam in the front doors, but am pretty sure they don't go down near the speaker opening and there should be no issues due to that.

Thanks in advance for advice and opinions.

Thanks for the input. Checked with a local installer and he said the "r" series is actually easier to install than the "s". Going ahead and ordering those speakers with confidence.

RWMays, I tend to agree about factory head unit. I have an Alpine 9886 single din head unit that I'm wanting to incorporate. Has a 24bit dac, and made the factory speakers in my last car sound so good I never got around to upgrading them.

My goal is to install this gear totally independent of the factory setup. I don't want to lose the stock look, voice recognition and app functionality. Finding a place to mount the head unit is proving to be a challenge. Was hoping to use the panel in front of cupholders but doesn't seem to be much room behind it and instructions on removing that panel seem hard to come by.
My vision is to splice all the factory speaker wires into the new speakers so that all the factory functionality stays intact on the stock head unit, and I listen to music on the aftermarket gear
