Excellent first post.

 

I have a weird issue. Every once in a while, the FM radio stations (I think AM as well) are silent. I can tune to them, but there is no audio. XM works fine. If I turn the vehicle off and back on, the FM stations are fine again.

Haven't sen anyone else report that. The vehicle is still new (late Dec and < 2,000 km). I haven't had it in for any service yet so haven't had it looked it - I know these sort of occasional issues are hard to diagnose.. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

 

well, see if you can repro the issue....get it in that 'no audio mode', and bring to dealer and do not
turn it off, keep that silent mode on and get a tech to pop out and show them
how it's silent, and restart, it's not silent. that way the problem writeup will be
solid and they can get to work on firmware upgrade or replacement

or take a good video of this and show to service tech

Now if only it can happen at a time other than when I'm going to work or headed out of town - murphy's law and all.

 

Yes, I have had this happen twice in my 2025 Rav4 Plug-in hybrid that i bought in December.

 

Try rebooting the radio by holding down the volume knob for a few seconds until the reboot starts. After the reboot, the radio will automatically restart.
