Anyone else with gas models?
This seems a lot like the 2019 trans problem?

 

My Rav4 is XLE Premium 2024 model GAS this is dealer report of problem.

I am always shutting off the SS function, if that was the problem dealer would have picked up on it.

Common symptom with all automatic transmissions. When you come to a stop, you can feel a bit of a bump as the transmission shifts to first gear. Normal.

 

Not with any cars I drive!

 

Seems the 'tech' has confirmed this issue is post #3 and it is not normal. File has been sent to TCI for investigation. Could be something as simple as a software update. Hang tight and see what is the issue.

UPDATE: This was done and condition has returned. Going in to dealer tomorrow to check transmission pressures?
Question: Your opinion if they want to change transmission on your new 2024 with 1400 km less than 3 months old what would you say?

Seriously, if the transmission isn’t working correctly I suppose that needs to be a last resort. I would not be up for keeping a defective car.

Problem not fixed with new transmission I would begin exploring the process of them buying back a defective/lemon vehicle. Good luck!

 

This is not normal the trans should be down shifting into 1st gear at some point before the vehicle stops.
I ask because wondering if toyota has significant transmission problems that they convince owners that it's just the learning transmission and will go away.
Would like to hear from other owners.

 

You can easily check the possible transmission bump into first gear idea when coming to a stop by shifting the transmission into neutral while decelerating to a stop.

 

Are you saying I should shift to neutral every time before stopping to avoid the faulty transmission shift into first gear after the vehicle has stopped?
