2019 UK Dynamic Touch 2 display and iPhone.

Bluetooth & WiFi connected to my phone but the display says 'Username or password is not correct try again'.
Few minutes later the Touch 2 screen says 'Connection failure, traffic information could not be retrieved.

Any suggestions gratefully received. Thank you.

Yes, the hotspot is enabled. It has worked fine until yesterday when I took the vehicle into the dealer for the 'SOS' Emergency Assistance button recall. The dealer says that they have not done anything that could have disturbed the internet connectivity.
 
Basically the same problem. Connected to phone hotspot, internet on the phone is working.

I'm able to get some info via the internet - push and download settings, send location from phone (MyT app) to the car.

However, receiving traffic info fails, connection to eStore fails etc...

You may find that your user name and password is different to MyT. In my case I learned that the car name/pass must be the SAME as the online MyT.

I corrected it and everything worked ok.

Took a few months to get connected (problems connecting to wifi & app MtToyota), but once it saved the settings it I did sorta work.

Had firmware updated (there's three parts to the firmware), not sure which was updated.

Problem is there's nothing in the eSTORE to download, perhaps one day apple CarPlay and Android Auto?

Problem with UK spec Touch and Go is it forgets setting and many other issues (will post when I get round to it).

BTW: Toyota claim all the issues are as designed !

Who'd design something not to work?

eg:
  1. Defect – RAV4 SatNav changes preset heading direction
  2. Question - How to calibrate RAV4 SatNav as required to improve positional accuracy?
  3. Defect - RAV4 Satnav map freezes whilst driving
  4. Defect - Displaying “Audio” screen and it switches to “Main” screen, why?
  5. Defect – Displaying “Energy” screen and it switched to “MAP” screen, why?
  6. Defect – On setup multiple options highlighted and showing different to option selected
  7. Defect – “Units of measurement” not adopted by all measurements
  8. SatNav route keyboad does not provide a Alphanumeric keyboard as default
  9. SatNav fails to display vehicle on road
  10. SatNav is showing POI when the POI has been set to “NONE”
  11. SatNav is inherently inaccurate
And then there's the DAB Radio that doesn't work, especially in warm weather,
 
What settings did you download ?
Setup > Toyota Online > Toyota web account > Send/retrieve settings
This passes when hotspot is activated, fails (as expected) when not.

However fetching traffic info fails every time, but now am starting to question if it's available in my region (Croatia) at all so perhaps it's working as expected :)

Also Apps > eStore sometimes fails to retrieve data, giving retry prompt only.

My wi-fi connection pass need to be added every time when the car is started, and wi fi drops every time when I get call during driving and then I need manually reconnect (add pass and connect manually)

Basically there are bugs in multimedia and it is so irritated and disappointing

Using an iPhone 5 we notice that when we get into the car and switch the hotspot on, sometimes it takes a while for the car to pick up the connection, consequently the Wi-fi symbol is not displayed. On these occasions I go to the password on the phone and just touch the screen after the last digit of the password. Almost instantly the Wi-fi symbol is now displayed and it works ok.

The Wi-fi connection to the car does not fail after it is connected and definitely does not fail after receiving calls.

The only suggestion that I would make is to check that you have the latest software version in the car once your phone is connected.

The original name that I gave for my iPhone was a problem with another application because the name included an hyphen. I changed the he name and that solved my problem but I also changed on the ‘My Toyota’ too. Thereafter it worked ok. If I go into an area where there is no cell signal the screen warns me that it cannot receive traffic information. However his does recover without any manual intervention. If you have chosen to use an android phone in future I doubt that I can be of any assistance. Good look in finding a resolution.
