I have a 2010 Rav 4 Australian model.

Few days ago the cigarette lighter socket in the dashboard stopped working and now I have to use the second socket located in the box next to the driver’s seat to charge my GPS.

I believe the fuse has blown. I checked the manual and fuse box is located under the dashboard on the passenger side.
You have to take out the glove box to reach it.

Now the problem I have taken out the glove box but am unable to locate the fuse box.

Could someone please send a picture of the fuse box and the exact fuse I need to check (please circle in the picture if possible).

Also what is the fuse amp I need to buy to replace it.

Does the driver sit on the right in a Rav 4 Australian model, putting the glove box on the left side?

In my North American Owner's manual, it shows a drawing of the fuse layouts. The one you want is labeled 8 CIG 15 A Power outlet, which is the one I think you want. The other two are powered by a single fuse: 11 PWR OUTLET 15 A Power outlet, which is working for you.

So 15 amps is probably the same in the right-hand drive vehicles. I don't know if the layout is the same. But in my book, "Fuses" is listed in the index, and the page is 387. N Check the index in your book. "Glove box" is also listed in the index for me, and I hope it is for you. In our left-hand drive cars, removing the lower glove box is easy.

While you are changing your fuses, you might take several pictures. Select a couple to add to your album. Then they will be available for the next person from Oceania who is changing or checking a fuse. Also, us drive-on-the-right people will find it interesting to see.

To see the fuse box, you need to get down on your back and look UP. Then remove the plastic cover and you will see something like this:

The 15A CIG fuse is circled. This diagram is rotated 180 degrees from the picture above:

Note that the fuses from the factory are ATM "Low Profile" fuses AKA Mini "Low Profile"fuses. In our left-hand-drive vehicles, the cover will not go back on if you substitute the cheaper taller fuses. However, that cover may or may not be a limiting factor in your car. So you might want to look.

Also note that our cars come with a "fuse pullout
tool" in the big fuse box on the car's right under the hood/bonnet.

No, that's all I got. In the N. American RAV4, the fuse box is right next to the hood release. In a RHD RAV4, it would be by the lower glove box. You have to lay back with your head on the floorboard and look up.

Thanks, I couldn't find the fuse. You really have to get on your back under the steering wheel by the hood release (USA 2010 4.3). I blew it while installing a USB dual charger in a blank dash spot. Left the key in Acc. when I cut the power wire. Doh!
