My build date also shows 2/22. I was told middle of April, and I am on the west coast. The boat is in port today. So now its the wait to get it prepped and out of port. It's a day drive from port to my town. I can't wait!!!

 

Wow that's good news!!! How did you find out the boat was in port? Did your dealer give you the exact build date? I feel like my dealer told me it was being built around the end of February, so I don't know if that's similar to yours or not.

 

I'm waiting on my RAV4 Prime XSE in MD as well, Browns Toyota specifically. I was told that it should arrive at the New York port this Friday, March 25th. I was told it would arrive the dealership mid-April, but from my experience it should arrive 1-2 weeks after port arrival.

 

Good to know! I'm waiting on mine from Bill Kidds in Cockeysville/Timonium! I've had 0 communication with my salesperson since the date I put down my deposit, so I've emailed him today and hopefully he'll have some good news for me soon! Was yours also built in 02/2022?

If your really interested, it sounds like you are, call the dealer and ask for the shipping date. They should tell you when it left the port. There is a thread here that tracks all the RoRo boats. Match the date it left the port with the boat that left the port. Then you can track the boat through numerous boat tracking sites. My prime is leaving Vancouver B.C tonight and arriving at the port in Portland Oregon tomorrow…

I just talked to my dealer, he said that in his "25 years of selling cars," he's never heard of anything that shows him the name of the vessel in which the vehicle is being shipped on. Although, he did tell me that he was able to see that my car was loaded onto the ship! He says he's not able to see when it was loaded or what ship it's on, but at least I know it's finally in transit!!

 

After months of trying I was finally able to get an allocation for a 22 xse prime last week with a build date of 3/4/22 and a ship date of 3/13. Dealer said they are anticipating delivery anywhere from Apr 5-10th. Hoping that it’s semi accurate in terms of dates for arrival with the way gas prices have gone.

 

I’m pretty sure my RAV4 is on the ship BRAVERY ACE, if my limited investigatory skills are accurate. If anyone has better data, please correct me. Looks like the ship is just now leaving Jacksonville headed for New York.

 

I'm hoping ours are on the same ship since they're both SE built in 2022 and both heading to MD!!!! (Idk if that actually means anything lmao). I added my VIN to my Toyota Account and I was able to see that it was built 02/2022. Did you try doing that? You can also track the categories from "A" to "G" using the Toyota Details link. If yours was also built in 02/2022, I'm hoping ours are on the same vessel !!!

 

For clarification, are all of you buying at MSRP or with an "adjustment"? Sounds like a lot of vehicles being delivered quickly after the order, compared to many who've been waiting since Fall of 2021 - piqued my curiousity.

 

At MSRP. The invoice I was was given from Antwerpen showed the same MSRP +$3000 "dealership adjustment".

 

Question... My Rav4 Prime arrived at the NY port yesterday March 25th, I live in New Hampshire (a 3 hours drive), assuming that everything goes well, how long does it take from the time that the car arrives at the port to get to the actual dealer?

 

Sounds like a similar question I posed a couple of days ago though I live in CA. For what it's worth I talked to the sales manager at the dealership. He looked up the ETA tracking system (emailed me a copy of the report) and mentioned that car arrived at the port (Long Beach, CA) on 3/21 and is still being processed at the port. No estimate of ETA at tge dealership though dealer thinks around mid-April. I sure hope there is no big backlog at the port as last year!

Mine was unloaded in Portland on 3/16. Still at "A" with no ETA. I am impatient as we all are.

 

Well, I went to "F" today. About 14 days after unloading in Portland. Today, 3/29, showing ETA of 4/27 to 5/2. Ouch. Things is moving slowly these days....

 

Where are you located? This is strange because there are cars that came last week that are to be delivered in a week at the dealership.

 

I've been tracking the GEORGIA HIGHWAY vessel for a few days now, which arrived in PONY (NYC) late last night. The ship just left the port for Puerto Rico a few hours ago so I'm assuming my RAV4 is sitting there waiting to be loaded on a truck. My status is still showing "A".

 

The website says my ETA was today, but I didn’t flip over to G. Ugh. Just waiting for the dealer to call me and tell me to come down

 

I finally got an F status! Eta 4/7 - 4/12

 

My dealer just emailed me an update with a delivery at dealership eta 4/7-4/12, port: Long Beach to central coast CA.

 

Did you guys pay MSRP? Or did you pay higher?

 

I originally paid a $1000 non-refundable deposit on a R4P XSE with $3000 markup, but I ended up abandoning that order after I got a call from another dealership saying they had an exact same build arrive a month later at MSRP. I lost my $1000 deposit, but I'm still saving $2k by not paying a markup. Just had to wait an extra month.

 

My dealer has verbally promised MSRP, though when I started with them, most dealers were still at MSRP. I put $500 refundable down already 8 months ago. I think they will keep their promise. They are a very large dealer here in the KC area and in conversation, they stated that they felt any temporary gains made by going over MSRP would be lost in customer loyalty down the road. There are easily 6 dealers in the greater KC area, so they tend to compete. 4 more weeks while the vehicle makes its way from Portland to KC.

 

My dealer was MSRP only. When it was allocated I signed a contract and put down $500. I am picking it up tonight or tomorrow based on my schedule.

 

Are you guys factory ordering them or waiting for allocations?

 

I am 99.9% sure you can't factory order. Everything is dealer allocation. I called on each allocation day to see if they were gettign any primes. It took my 3 tries, so 1.5 months till they got one and I claimed it. I hopefully pick it up today! I have seen it on the dealer lot.

 

I'm still waiting on mine. I actually drove through the dealership's back lot tonight to see if I could find it. I felt like a crazy ex-boyfriend. I updated the Toyota app the other day and got super excited when I saw the "Find" button on the app, hoping I'd be able to see the latest GSP position. Unfortunately, it gave me nothing 😩

 

Could someone refresh my memory how to track via the Toyota api site and/or the JSON viewer. Could do it before, but having trouble now. Replaced my vin in the url, but no luck. Thanks in advance.

I have a “G” status! No call from the dealership unfortunately. It’s still showing an ETA which is off. It was at F this morning and didnt get around to checking until after 7pm tonight, otherwise I would have shown up with my checkbook. Hopefully I get the call tomorrow, but I’m showing up after work either way.

 

Final Update: I got my "G" status sometime late Apr 6th and got the email the the RAV4 was at the dealership the morning Apr 7th. I called to schedule a pick up time but was surprised that they wanted me to wait another day. The reasoning was because the vehicle does not ship with a charged battery and the dealership wanted to charge it before handing over the keys. I told them I'm not worried about a full charge and would like to pick up today (Apr 7th). As of 5pm last night, I was the new owner of a RAV4 Prime XSE!

 

Nice! Were you able to get the color that you wanted? Send pics. I wanted pearl white and end up getting a silver... But im happy either way. Im still wait for my pick up call.

And now Im concerned in getting a lemon car as well. Huuurrrrr

Spoke to my contact at Toyota and he told me that quite a few of their cars were affected by the Benicia port fire. Fire engulfs port in Bay Area city of Benicia the fire destroyed part of the port's infrastructure such as roads which will add to the delivery timeline for many of us such here now.
