Anybody using the digital key function? I don't see it available on my Toyota app (iphone). I use carplay so i'm not connected via bluetooth and this may be the problem? I have the 2024 prime xse with premium pkg.

1. Does the Prime come with digital keys? Not all Toyota models come with them.
2. You must have a subscription to "Remote Connect" to use the Toyota digital keys. Do you have Remote Connect? https://support.toyota.com/s/article/What-is-Digital-Key-Toyota?language=en_US You can see your subscriptions in the Toyota app.
3. The Toyota digital key uses Bluetooth between your cell phone and the car. It has nothing to do with CarPlay.

Yes I have the correct subscriptions. However I'm not connected via bluetooth (and i think that's the problem) because i'm connected with carplay. I not sure if i can be connected via bluetooth and still use careplay. Thank you for your reply.

Well, as a driver of a Rav4 Prime myself, same model and package, don't have it. :) Wasn't expecting it when I was getting it and saw only a few Toyota Models would have it, most notably the bZ4X.

At most, you probably saw the general posting about it having Remote Connect, but just like the Toyota Safety Sense, not all the models have the 'latest and greatest'. I believe the Rav4 only has the 2.5+, not the 3.0, for instance. For instance looking here: Toyota Safety Hub – Vehicle Safety Features

The top shows the TSS 3.0 and you scroll down, it points to 2022 Rav4 Prime for their Award in Safety, BUT that doesn't mean it has the TSS 3.0.

From here, which is a bit old, but possibly still relavent: https://engage.toyota.com/static/images/toyota_safety_sense/TSS_Applicability_Chart.pdf

It has the Rav4 Prime at TSS 2.5+, and while it lists the 2023 Rav4 Prime, I believe it hasn't changed for the 2024 Rav4 Prime.

If anything, the 2023 to the 2024 change is the fully digital dash, as I did test drive a 2023 Rav4 Prime and it still had analog indicators, but in my 2024 Rav4 Prime XSE + PP, it is a full digital dash.

Thanks for the reply. I've only had the car for about 2 weeks. Before buying it I did a lot of research. At the dealership I ended up teaching their people some of its features. I must have miss read something because I've been looking for it again and can't find it. Anyway love the car and wife does too which is a big plus. It's even more comfortable that my 2018 Camry XLE V6 fully loaded (HUD, Birdseye view etc). They both have near identical 0-60 times too😁

I did a lot of poking around, mostly videos with regards to the Rav4 Prime. Other than the Plugin part and the faster 0-60 (which wasn't a focus for me), the Rav4 Prime was much similar to the Rav4 Hybrid Limited I had, especially the XSE with the Premium Package to get the Panoramic View and all the doors having smart key access.

I went to the Prime due to lower MPG due to my shorter commute and pre-planning for something where it looked like I will be moving to a new location work wise and the closest place to eat was to drive half a mile to where there were places making food.
