My previous vehicles have been named "Thecar" and "Thevan". When my new car is here it will be named "Therav".

 

I named mine Blue. When I was driving in some pretty bad winter weather just after I bought her, she was handling it like a champ and made easy work of 6" of snow on the road like it was nothing. I audibly said "You're my girl, Blue" thinking of the movie Old School. That is when she got her name. I even 3D printed out a cute little velociraptor in a blue silk filament to represent Blue from Jurassic World.

 

I call my Magentic gray metallic RAV4 XSE Hybrid, Arya (as in Stark), she's small but smart and packs a punch

 

Only when it breaks down, then its called "SON OF A B****"

 

My Rav is Decker, Celica is Blue Bomber, 01 Camry is Sultan, and my 07 Camry is Coyote.

Trooper(as in Storm Trooper)

 

I have a white 2022 LE. His name is Luke. My friend said, while looking straight on, “looks like a storm trooper helmet”. First thing that went through my head was “ it’s a little small for a storm trooper”. Luke it is.

 

Kiddo likes Stormy, Stormy it is - star wars etc.

We have a white 2022 RAV4 XLE Hybrid. My wife named it Eva — Wallee’s friend from the movie of same name. She also named our 2007 Prius Lola 🙂

 

I just decided to name mine Jarvis since everything is automatic In it lol

 

I was overly obsessed with the car for the first year just like the main actor/producer in the movie ‘my octopus teacher’ was obsessed with his octopus so I called my car octopus.
haha.

 

1 of the members here & 2 of my neighbours have randomly call my Rav 4 - "stormtrooper" (star wars) mostly because of the stripes on the hood and the nudge bar...seems to be a popular choice for those with a white Rav 4 with black trim, so "stormtrooper' it is...(i might have to get a decal printed) cheers

 

Whenever I see someone name their RAV Stormtrooper, I just think they have a Kia Soul. Those things are the spitting image of an imperial/storm troopers helmet.

 

My wife and daughters always name our cars. Glenda, Rhonda, Frank, Joey,... the names they choose never make any sense to me and I always get them confused so I just call them by brand, model, or trim, whichever makes them unique.

I had a 71 Beetle when I was 17, I named it Abbey. After that, i stopped naming my vehicles. We say "Rav" if we refer to the RAV4 or "Subie" if we refer to my car.

 

I use to date a girl who's father use to name his car Betsy, I was over there for supper one time when he mentioned over supper that he was taking Betsy out afterwards with his wife sitting at the table. Not knowing that Betsy was the name of the car I sat there thinking what a progressive family taking another woman out, wasn't quite sure to make of it at the time. Shortly afterwards I found out who Betsy was when I had to help jump start the car because of flat battery.

 

Call it " Disappointments " this 2021 Silversky Metalic XLE with sun roof is like all the rest of its kind, What you don't get
No way to adjust the TMPS.
No auto diming inside rearview mirror with compass...not even available at this price point Really ?? Hell my 2008 Solara convertible has this, was standard equipment. and lastly. And my least enjoyable feature of this Rav4 is .... As soon as I push the button to start it, if I forget to push the little button on the right side of the dash every time I come to a stop, it shuts off and it feels like I have been rear-ended as it recovers from a dead engine. I have gotten out of the car to check for collision damage. Is there anyway to defeat this ( Feature) permanently, we were not made aware of this Feature when we purchased Now my Wife is afraid to drive it. ( where and when will it shut off again ) thus we have had it 18 months and it has less that 6000 miles on it. So having said all of this I will summarize by saying it is a useless pile of scrap metal. and is not reliable from a consumers point of view.
OK I will just say it, it is a total Fail.

Is it too Cliché that every R4P owner should name their car Optimus?
Or at least a cool sticker on the rear window.

My friends have starwars stickers on their [black] hybrid (big starwars fans), maybe similar to R2D2 appearance.
White vehicles with black accents, trucks and cars a-like, are commonly named stormtrooper, and or have the respective sticker.

 

My baby is called blue girl. Shes a looker that turn heads and get compliments.

 

My Silver XSE Prime is named "Hal"...not because of the miscreant computer in "2001 A Space Odyssey". But rather because I worked for Eastman Kodak for many years and Silver Halide funded everyone's salary. Thus, Hal.
