These frameless mirror has a standard window/windshield mounting piece(possibly made by gentex mirrors), you can use a different auto dimming mirror from gentex or other oem part it will fit, i test fitted it on my Subaru WRX-STi and it fits too. The reason i opted this specific part so i don't have to mess with wiring harness close to the toyota safety sense system on the windshield, only downside it does not have an auto dimming feature but i will surely upgrade this to a proper auto dimming/homelink mirror soon and already have provisions for power wiring from the moonroof switches.

Here is my other auto dimming mirror/homelink kit:

I've been looking at this since my wife was asking about whether or not our new Rav came with this. The link above is the best price I can find for it...even after shipping. However, Amazon shows this alternative. While it is far less expensive, the description mentions that you may need a spacer for compatibility. I'm not sure if my Rav will need that or not. If it does, then the spacer is another 50 bucks and the savings is pretty much gone. I'm more inclined to get OEM (especially if the cost is similar), but I'm interested in what the pros here have to say.

Wow, the part number shown in your photo gives me ZERO matches with Toyota parts and shows some garbage eBay hit with a WWW search.
But when I specify that I have a 2021 RAV4 to Toyota itself and then search for "frameless auto dimming rear view", I finally get some possibilities. Let's see, should I spend $900 or $2306? How on earth did you find this part?

I still can't confirm that the Gentex mirror can be installed on a 2021 RAV4 XLE without needing an adapter.
One Toyota dealer in Silicon Valley told me they could get the mirror for $216.32 - this is better than the Gentex replacement cost; they never asked for VIN. But my local Santa Cruz dealer first asked for my VIN (huh?), then told me that part is not available for my trim! When I told them about the other dealer, they claimed this dealer would probably be selling me a third-party, non-OEM part. They went on to tell me that I can't have the mirror I want because of wiring issue and furthermore it might require software configuration!
I'm starting to feel like I'm beating a dead horse.

I bought and installed a GNTX-453 made for a Kia in my 2021 XLE. Definitely needed the mounting bracket extension to have the necessary clearance to adjust the mirror. All in I think it was like $35 for a brand new, never used, mirror with homelink/autodim via eBay and another $25 for the mounting bracket extension. The toyota mirror didn't appear to need an extension when I looked into all this initially.

I mean, it's 3 wires. 2 x 12v wires that can tap into just accessory or constant 12v + accessory 12v and then the ground wire. It wouldn't even interface with the rav's ECU or software. Were you looking at a mirror with the reverse camera running to it or something?

I gave up on finding switched power in the vicinity of the mirror (moonroof didn't have it and was not willing to muck with the radar connector). A brief consideration of trying to run the wires to the fuse box led me to pay someone else to do it. Took it to Lott's Auto Stereo in Santa Cruz, paid for an hour of their time and got it done.

I installed Gentex Homelink autodim compass mirrors sourced from Amazon. I checked every single pin in the SE sunroof connector and found no 12 v switched wire. Instead I connected both the mirrors power wires to the 12 v switched radar camera wire for my 21 Prime last November and my wife's 22 Prime last May. Both work perfectly. I wanted the Homelink to work only when the car is on. I would have preferred it to work with ACC and ON, but got only ON.
I just dropped the entire perimeter of the headliner to change to Adventure rails and seal the rails better than the questionable factory arrangement. I found it would be absolutely no big deal to run a mirror power wire down to the fuse box if you don't want to connect to the radar camera. Find the Youtube video to install a Prinsu roof rack for details to loosen the headliner and remove the a-pillar cover.
