Has anyone driven a present generation Rav4 vs Camry? Your experience ?

I have been shopping (not in person) either a Rav4 or a Camry. 4 cylinder.
How is the drivability of the two based on your driving experience.? They are both build on a similar platform. If maximum storage space is not the deciding factor and you get the XLE in each model, which would you rather be driving? Please compare your preferences.
Thanks

You obviously are not aware, the platform is the same...Camry has a longer wheelbase, but the rest is the same. TNGA platform (so is the ES Lexus)..... check it out. My post is nothing but a legitimate question..... and if you weren't gonna answer my question , why bother w your post.....no, I am not requesting you answer my question.....

I just traded my 2022 Camry LE for a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid XSE. I bought the Camry in haste back when things were a little nuts. I found it to be an extremely competent car but regretted the LE trim for my tastes and wasn't totally happy with the color (Ice Edge, basically white unless you're a color snob who enjoys arguing with people). It drove nice and handled fine and I got great gas mileage. Even though it was an LE, it came with an impressive list of standard features but after going up a couple of levels, getting a fantastic color and a much more "fun" vehicle, I'm glad I did made the switch to the Rav4. That should not reflect poorly on the Camry though, it really is a great all around car. Had I purchased the Camry in a better color and with a few more options, I would have kept it for sure. The white LE was just too boring for me though. The hybrid gave me AWD without having to choose it and even better mileage than the Camry so win/win there. You can't go wrong with either so pick the one you like better. My garage is tight so the Camry lived outside and it didn't bother me a bit. I barely washed it and never waxed it. I've had the Rav4 for 3 weeks now and it hasn't spent even ONE night outside and already has a coat of ceramic infused wax on it. I love it so far!

I have not driven an 8th gen Camry. I do have some thoughts based on the vehicle specs on the RAV and Camry. They are both TNGA so the same suspension design. However, the Camry is lighter weight than the RAV across most trim levels. The weight distribution front to rear is different. The Camry is much lower on the roof line and also has less ground clearance than the RAV. I have not confirmed but I think the Camry has lower profile tires in some trim levels than the RAV. All these things indicate to me that the Camry should handle better, pull more g's on the skid pad, and have less body roll in hard cornering than the RAV.

Thanks Tazio, your comments make total sense... up until an hour ago I had never driven a new Rav4 or a Camry.... I spent about 2.5 hrs at a dealer w my wife to drive a Rav4 XLE, a Rav4 Hybrid XLE and a Camry XSE 4cyl w sports suspension and 19 inch wheels....... I am going to post another topic but my preliminary findings (and this is just my opinion)...
Rav4 XLE adequate acceleration, almost adequate handling for both RAV4 models but was not good as far as I am concerned, one Rav4 had 17 inch wheels, the Hybrid had 18 inch wheels. After driving both...I feel they both had significant body roll, there was significant sway when doing a quick turn in either direction. I asked to drive a best handling Camry and the XSE met my expectations for a pretty darned good handling experience....it has 19 inch wheels, and sports tuned suspension. Springs, shocks, firmer sway bars, the steering was much more responsive and decisive .... I am gonna post in a new post, but bottom line....I want to find out what can be done to improve the Rav4 to better the stock suspension....
I would like to close this topic on this thread.....

I drove a brand new rental Camry SE last fall when I was on vacation in Maine. It was quiet, powerful and comfortable. It was easy to use because the controls are almost identical to the RAV4. But I prefer my two year old ('21) RAV4 hybrid (XLE Premium) because of the added room and higher sitting for road view.
