Hi,
Does the 08 Limited comes with heated side mirror? If so, where is the switch to activate it? Thanks.

Just to confirm...

The front defogger is a trapezium shaped symbol with wavy up arrows. This switch will defog the front mirror and turn on the side mirror heat.

The back defogger (actually it is more of a heater right?) is the rectangular symbol with wavy arrows.

Thanks

Yes.

The front defroster should be on the left set of three circles/button clusters. The rear wire defroster is on the right of three circle button clusters.

From Page 234 of the 2009 owner's manual:

Outside rear view mirror defoggers (vehicles with outside rear view
mirror defoggers)
Turning the rear window defogger on will turn the outside rear view mirror
defoggers on.
So either defrosters turn on the mirror defrosters?

No! Only depressing the REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER BUTTON will turn on/off the outside mirror defoggers - and the rear window defogger as well.

Which is what I was pointing out to Gbcue in a witty way at first. Apparently that didn't work, hence the quote from the owner's manual.

I'm asuming then that the Sport (even with the SAP which includes the painted mirrors with turnsignals) does NOT have heated mirrors?

Don't know about US, but in Canada, all models I believe have heated outside mirrors.
I don't think you're right on this one, but I wish you were. My 2009 base model has painted mirrors with the integrated turn signal repeaters, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have heated mirrors.

All 2009/10 models (Base/Sport/Limited) have the new turning signal mirrors. But I think its just the Sport and Limited that have the heated portion.

Sorry, but your statement is not completely correct! My USA version '09 Base I4/AWD definitely does not have heated mirrors or turn signals. I wish it did!

That statement is true in Canada unless all the print material that was released on the Toyota website is wrong. It indicates that heated mirrors is standard across the board on all Canadian models.

Sorry Mike, I forgot to mention I was referring to the Canadian models, as the last few posters were all from Canada.

OK, does anybody have PIX of a Canadian silver '09 BASE RAV??? I'd like to get an idea of what the mirrors look like so if I decide to get a pair of the OEM heated/turn signal mirrors I won't be disappointed. :ponder:

Maybe someone on this forum have the model you're looking for.
Not too shabby looking there. Why it even has the same wheels that are on my RAV!
Thanks for posting the photo...that's just what I was hoping to see!
