No, just a page to insert in the manual with the extension on the part with the vin. They don't allude as to why the cable fails but I'm ok with knowing I've got lots of time and miles ahead and if that light comes on a new cable is the likely fix. They do have some wiggle room with the wording saying that you can get the warning on the dash and the cable may not be the problem.
Thanks, can it be done without pulling the rear drive motor? Have not put it on the lift yet. The dealer says they may cover it, 2020 with 61,000 miles.

Got my letter in the mail on Saturday about the "high voltage cable". 8 years or 100,000 miles----was hoping for 8/150K as I drive about 18000 miles per year. But anyway, it's nice to have movement on this cable.

Interesting just received my notice "22TE09 Notification "

Not to bad...looks like if

"If you have previously paid for repairs to your vehicle for this specific condition. Please email a copy of your repair details and ownership information to the following address for reimbursement consideration."

Some have already taken mitigation options, outlined in this thread......Don't know how or if this would affect any of the inspections done by the dealership should something happen.

Coverage
8 years /100,000 miles...

Would expect during this time if not a full redesign to the connection location, they might only do improvements to the cable.... guess in 8 / years or so we will find out...🤔

If the 2023 has the same design wonder if this is automatically included as part of the basic coverage for that vehicle. 🤔

I received my letter today for the extended 8yr 100,000 mi. HV cable warranty. I am in Northern Arkansas so it surprised me Toyota would include me being so far south . I wonder if all will be included , or how far south they will go . Anyone further south get one yet ?
Edit - I have a 2022 with the new style cable also . Thankyou Toyota for doing what is right by your customers .
4T XLT made in Kentucky with the open cable end. build date Jan, 2022.

If you have the newer "open" connector, may want to post model year (21 or 22), build location (2T, 4T, JT) and month of build if you got the letter to see if all locations are involved with the updated "open" connector. We pretty much know all of the older closed connectors will be getting it. Curious if it is a clamp material thing by certain suppliers, or something else.

Let's see if we can get the post/page count for this thread a bit higher. Hasn't moved as vigorously as it used to.

22 2T 06 open "new connector "

Would expect it's not done by location, only inclusive dates of build...

Anyone with a 2023
wondering if the the coverage has been updated in the "user" manuals...🤔

also noted

The coverage applies to two separate events..either / or

"The specific condition covered by this program is excessive corrosion at the connector of the HP floor, under wire harness and rear traction, motor cable, causing MIL on and / or poor AM vehicle reception and static"

They list the repair time five hours, according to the dealership schedule for service....

I looked at the 23 warranty manual and it looks the same. Motormouth's youtube in the recent RAV4 video made some comments about cablegate. My take is that the extension is for the 19-22 to take the edge off the buzz. Toyota is confident that the revisions made in 21 is the fix. Someone else I'm sure will chime in with their take.

Curious if anyone here with a J-VIN has received the letter? My ‘22 RAV is Japan built, and no letter yet. Starting to to think this warranty extension may only be for NA made. Time will tell, but that would explain why the Prime and Venza aren’t being included. 🤔

No letter yet for my December 21st 2021 build (4T) 2022 XLE-P with Weather.

We will see a new design in the Gen 4.6. Will connect through the rear floor exactly like the Corolla Cross.

Our '22 SE is a J-VIN delivered in early May last year. It has the open connector. We got the letter yesterday.

I have a 4 vin delivered in May 22 open connector, wonder if I will get a letter. none yet
This will be interesting to track the arrival of letters and the date and plant build country. I have a Dec 21 4T build, but there are later builds with 2 and J builds receiving letters. Most likely Toyota just sending out letters in random mailings. One never knows though. I wonder how many times Toyota switched suppliers of the metal clamp and if there were different batches with manufacturing QC issues? Probably not, but the randomness of this Cable Gate does make one wonder.
