Hi all, I'm replacing the "radiator support slash shield" on my daughter's 2008 RAV4. It's the plastic splash shield (5141042050) that sites beneath the engine. It's going fine except I don't quite get how I'm supposed to remove / reinstall this fastener (see image) that sits on the cross member. Or is not supposed some off and there is another way to attach the shield to it? Thanks in advance!

Pull the centre pin up about 1/8” and then you can remove the fastener by lifting the outer ring. To install, simply push in then set the pins down.

You should get a pack or replacements from amazon. THose pins break easily. Toyota and Autoparts store sells them for a couple of bucks a piece. I got a couple of hundred for $10.
