Is there an interior lighting kit that is well-liked? Specifically for a 2018 (not sure if lights have changed from previous years or not). Doing a search on the forums, I've seen quite a few hits but it seems like nothing for anything newer than 2016. Also, it seems like a lot of the LEDs are bigger than stock and require bending connectors. I'm hoping that issue has been fixed in some new LED kit someone can recommend. Thanks!

Dunno about a "go to" kit. The bulbs are all pretty standardized sizes. Just about anything on Amazon (if you're able to order from there) will probably work just fine without the need to make any alterations to your wiring or the plugs. I bought a set from Amazon in 2017 for my 2016 vehicle. Unfortunately it's not offered anymore otherwise I'd give you the direct link.

Just an update for 2023. Today I installed this kit on my 2018 RAV4 Hybrid:

Zoomsee Interior Led For Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Fj Cruiser Chr Rav4 Highlander Venza 4runner Canbus Dome Map Light Bulb Kit - Signal Lamp - AliExpress

There are multiple color temperatures available. Since I do not like white light, I bought the warm white version which is very similar to the stock light bulbs, but much brighter. There is a big difference at night when you want to search something in your car.

For RAV4 IV (2013-2021) they include 14 LED pieces. I have used 8 and I still have 6 spare pieces which is great. The kit also includes a prying tool with thin heads which made everything easier.

I really recommend to upgrade your stock lights with LED lights, this kit or another kit. It is cheap and easy to do it. A very welcomed upgrade.

Today I installed two more lights mods into my 2018 RAV4 Hybrid (click on the images to enlarge them):

I ordered the ice blue color kit (4 pieces with connectors) with the intention to replace the front ones since these ones are more powerful and to install the other two for the passengers in the back. I could not find a good fit for the back under the seats, so I got creative. I removed the center console back panel, made a hole, inserted by force one new led and this is the result:

I also replaced the front ones and I still got one more LED, so I decided to add it as a glove box light (finally, some light in there):

I made a small cut in the plastic and I used double sided tape to fix the LED over there, facing down. Besides this small cut and the hole in the back panel of the center console, everything was plug and play. It took me 2 hours to install this kit because I spent a lot of time deciding how/where to put the lights for the back.

When the car is in motion the intensity of the lights is dimmed, when it is stationary, the lights are like in the pictures. They fit very well with the rest of the interior lights.

Another project completed :)

And the second new lights mod which was easier to install are the door bowls interior lights:

This kit was plug and play and took me 30 minutes to install all of them. The included connectors were 100% compatible even with the illuminated door switches that I installed couple of months ago. A pry tool was also included in the kit.

The lights are always on when the car is started, but these small LED lights use very few electricity. During the day you barely can see them because they are dimmed, but during the night they are a great addition to the interior lighting.

Another project completed :)

Long term review of this product:
After a few months these lights started to blink which was very annoying. I initially thought the problem is my 12V battery which may not provide a constant current (5 years old). So, I swapped the footwell lights with the originals and the originals which were 5 years old did not blink at all. So, I ordered from my Toyota dealer 2 of these which are the original ones:

and I replaced the one from the back seats and the one in the glove box. The originals from Toyota are not that bright as the AliExpress ones, but the light is constant without any blinking and the quality is far superior. These 2 original LEDs were $34. I do not regret buying also the ones from the AliExpress because those came with the connectors and the wires. All in all, it is still a good upgrade which I did to my car because I have light in the glove box and also for the feet area for the back seats.

As for the door bowls interior lights and the other interior lights which I changed on my car, they work flawlessly. They proved to be of high quality.
