Is this fixed for the 2021 prime? I do not have the rack, just rails.
I don't think anyone has a definitive answer on this sadly. Some Rav4s have it and some don't, country of origin seems to make no difference. Is this fixed for the 2021 prime? I do not have the rack, just rails.
This is fine. The leaking spots are front and rear, not the bolted sections. Those are well sealed.I did a test. Using my 3,400 psi power washer 12 inches from were the cross bars connect to the rail I sprayed for 5 seconds. After inspecting the lining there was no moisture.
I have power washed the roof rails, moon roof entire roof every week for the last 14 months and there are no leaks to date. This is fine. The leaking spots are front and rear, not the bolted sections. Those are well sealed.

Send me a picture where the water is entering and I will power wash that spot with my 3,400 psi washer.
The gaskets were changed for 2021 to a thicker design. Its an inherent design flaw. If you watch the video above you'll see the paper thin gaskets are all thats standing between your airbags and headliner and a catastrophic leak. They put a lot of holes in the roof and water will always find the lowest point

I'm in the market for a 2022 model, so I sure hope you're right and Toyota fixed this issue. It's one of the biggest flaws with the vehicle that I read about. The gaskets were changed for 2021 to a thicker design.

Yep. I have a 2019 and a 2021. Neither has the new orange gaskets. I asked my dealer, Suburban Toyota farmington hills Michigan but they didn't have a part number. You've pulled the rails off? Are the gaskets super thin? Pix?
Here is the part number. Also there are several threads in the "general" or "exterior" sections showing and installing the new clips with the orange washers.Yep. I have a 2019 and a 2021.
