Thought I’d go ahead and give a quick review for this item since I took a leap of faith and purchased and installed it.

very well made and sturdy item. Feels solid and the black finish on it feels like it will hold up to scratches.

install instructions require that you permanently remove the plastic splash guard under the car in order to access the mounts for the bolts that hold the bumper guard in place. I decided to attempt to cut my plastic splash guard and create access holes that expose the mounting points for the bolts. This was a little more difficult than expected as I had no point of reference other than photos of where the bolts were under the plastic splash guard. Also made screwing in the bolts a little trickier since visibility of the mounting points are obstructed. It’s doable, just takes more time.

I used a Dremel to cut the plastic. Doesn’t look pretty, but it’s not visible anyway and I was able to keep the plastic splash guard! Mission accomplished. I was really worried about losing it since I live in Chicago and there’s always so much salt on the roads when it snows.

I think it looks great, and gives me a little more peace of mind when parking. Great product.
