I am new owner of a RAV4 2010 with Variomatic gearbox. I am i litle confused about it.
Is Multidrive S the same as Variomatic?
I thought it should be "stepless", but I fell different gears when I drive, and it is possible to run in M-mode in 6 different gears.
Is it a combination of stepless and with steps or????

Can someone explain for me?

And when I choose "Sport" mode, I think that it runs with very high rpm before change gear (3 - 4 000 rpm). And sometimes it will not change gear, perhaps in 60 - 70 km/h and 3 - 4000 rpm. Is that normal?

Some manufacturers have changed the behaviour of the CVT in a way that it behaves like a stepped transmission.
They did this because some consumers didn't like the CVT behaving as it should so they made it less efficient by creating virtual steps.

3000-4000 rpm isn't extremely high for an atmospheric engine. So it is understandable that it "shifts" at those RPM ranges.

Does it also use steps when you are in D?
With the CVT it is critically important that the transmission fluid is changed very regularly. If it is unknown when it was last changed I would change it as soon as reasonably possible.
Do check that you absolutely get the correct fluid for the CVT.
