Multiple dashboard warning lights

Yesterday while returning from a 120 km journey I suddenly had three dashboard lights come on at once, the battery discharge light, the low oil pressure light and the fuel filter light. As it was Armistice day and everything was shut (I'm in France although the vehicle is UK origin) I had little option but to continue my journey home (about 70k still to go). It was driving normally but as I got to the last kilometre or so the ABS light came on and then the handbrake light. Once I had stopped the car at my house it would not start again and the battery appears dead. I fear it is something expensive but is it possible it is just a battery problem? It has been a bit reluctant to start lately. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have charged the battery and put it back on the car. It starts, runs and drives as if nothing is wrong but I still have the battery, oil pressure and fuel filter lights illuminated. I can understand why you both suggest an alternator problem but why would the oil pressure and fuel filter lights still be on? I've checked the oil level by the way.
