Is there any way to gain access to the OBD II interface on the European 1998 model?
You are apparently nto aware, that the European model doesn't actually have a OBD port under the dash. You can buy a scanner at your local Pep Boys and use it. Or, you can get a ScanGauge . It will tell you what codes is making your checkengine light turn on. Once you've read the code, just go to the internet and it will tell you which codes, what is the problem, and most important, how to fix it. The advantage is that you take out the guessing factor. Know which part or parts to change and how expensive it will be.
